Eric Rogers Iditarod Musher

R Northbound Dogs
"The journey of a thousand miles begins
with a single sleddog"

Being a part of a magnificent quest is a dream shared by millions of fans, volunteers, mushers, and sponsors.  I started with the Iditarod as a fan during the late 1970’s. During the mid 1980’s I joined the Iditarod Trail Committee. In 1992 we moved to Alaska and I became a volunteer, and in 2006 completed the race as the oldest rookie in that field.  That whole time the Yukon Quest has been calling me too, reminding me that there are two 1,000 mile races.  Now is the time to answer that call.

I’ve made the trip from fan to member to volunteer to musher, but I remember my roots. I remember wanting to be part of this so bad that it hurt, but I didn’t know how. And I know that I’m not alone. So I would like to extend an invitation to all interested people to join me in this epic quest and support R Northbound Dogs.

Names to Whitehorse: $10
Be part of history.  Be part of the 2012 Yukon Quest.  Join R Northbound Dogs on our epic journey from Fairbanks thru Dawson to Whitehorse.  I will print the names of all my sponsors, large and small, and carry those names with me on this quest.  If you want to be part of the Toughest Race on Earth here is your chance.  Just click on the Paypal link at the top of this and donate any amount.  Be sure to give me your name, or the name of your group or organization, as you would like me to carry it.   You can also send me a check, my mailing address is R Northbound Dogs, 13914 Savage Dr, Eagle River, AK 99577.  If you cannot afford to donate, but still want to be part of the program send me an email (contact us on the left sidebar) with the title Names to Whitehorse with the name you want me to carry exactly as you want it listed in the body.  Say a prayer for us and we will call it even.

Rogers Rangers: $30
Rogers Rangers is the official support group of R Northbound Dogs racing kennel.  Membership is automatic for any donation over $30.  For that you will: be part of the Names to Whitehorse program, get a 2009 musher card, a dog bootie used by my dogs, an autographed Rogers Rangers certificate (8 ½ x 11) suitable for framing, and my undying gratitude.

Sponsor a Dog: $300
Those great, hardworking dogs need love too.  They really are R Northbound Dogs.  Do you have a favorite that you would like to help?  For $300 you will be the official sponsor of the dog of your choice (assuming they are still available).  Sponsorship benefits include: first right of refusal to sponsor your dog next year, membership in Rogers Rangers, listing as the dog’s official sponsor on the website kennel page, and after the race, a souvenir of the race and an autographed 8 ½ by 11 photo of the team suitable for framing, and the gratitude of a great dog.

Corporate Sponsor: $1000 and up
Sponsorship benefits at this level begin with your name listed on my website, my dog truck, and my bio page on the races I enter as one of my official sponsors, membership in Rogers Rangers, and after the race, a souvenir of the race and an autographed 8 ½ by 11 photo of the team suitable for framing, and the gratitude of the entire R Northbound Dogs team.  Beyond that, what can I do to help you promote your business or favorite cause?
